Selling print-on-demand products through TikTok Shop is one of the most exciting opportunities I’ve seen in the ecommerce space recently.

As someone who’s been in dropshipping and print-on-demand for a while, I wanted to give a step-by-step breakdown of exactly how to get TikTok Shop connected with Printify.

Whether you’re based in the US and eligible for the direct integration or you need to work around it using Shopify, this guide walks you through the cleanest setup I’ve found, with all the little details that make or break your store.

Let’s start with the first (and most important) question: are you even eligible for the direct integration?

1. Are You Eligible for the TikTok Shop + Printify Integration?

Before you jump into creating accounts or designing products, you need to check your eligibility. Printify’s TikTok Shop integration is only available for US-based sellers right now. That means:

  • You must have a TikTok Shop based in the United States
  • You must use a US-based Printify print provider
  • Your products must be shipped within the United States

If you’re based anywhere else — like the UK, Canada, Australia, or Europe — you won’t be able to connect TikTok Shop directly to Printify.

But don’t worry, there’s a reliable workaround using Shopify, and I’ll show you that later.

What You Need to Qualify:

Here’s what you’ll need before you can move forward with the direct integration:

RequirementDetails
US TikTok ShopYour seller account must be registered in the United States
US Print Providers on PrintifyOnly these can be used for fulfillment and publishing
US Bank AccountNeeded to receive payouts from TikTok Shop
US Tax InformationRequired to publish products to TikTok through Printify

If you check all those boxes, you’re good to go. Let’s move on to getting your TikTok Shop set up.

2. Create Your TikTok Shop Seller Account (US)

The first thing I did was set up my TikTok Shop seller account. It’s a simple process, but TikTok is strict about verification and banking info, so it helps to have everything ready before you start.

Step-by-Step TikTok Shop Setup:

  1. Go to the TikTok Shop Seller Center and click “Sign Up.”
  2. Choose “United States” as your region.
  3. Enter your email and create a password, or sign in with your existing TikTok account.
  4. Choose your seller type:
    • Individual Seller (if you’re a solo entrepreneur)
    • Business Seller (if you’re using an LLC or other registered company)
  5. Upload the required verification documents:
    • Driver’s license or passport for individuals
    • Business registration and tax ID for businesses
  6. Link your US bank account to receive payouts.
  7. Submit your US tax information (W-9 for most individual sellers).

Once your application is approved, you’ll get access to the full TikTok Seller Center dashboard. At this point, you’re ready to connect it with Printify.

3. How to Connect TikTok Shop to Printify (US Integration Only)

This part took a bit of trial and error when I first did it, so here’s the clean version of how to connect TikTok Shop directly to Printify.

If you’re eligible for the integration, this will save you hours of back-and-forth.

Connect the Store Inside Printify

  1. Log into your Printify dashboard.
  2. Go to Manage My Stores and click Add New Store.
  3. Choose TikTok Shop from the list of available integrations.
  4. Authorize the connection when prompted and log into your TikTok Shop account.
  5. Approve all permissions and confirm the integration.

Once connected, TikTok Shop will show up in your Printify store list. But it won’t work properly unless you set up your shipping the right way inside TikTok.

Set Up Seller Shipping in TikTok Seller Center

By default, TikTok Shop is set to use TikTok’s shipping program, which doesn’t work with Printify.

You need to switch it to Seller Shipping and configure a custom warehouse.

Here’s how I did it:

  1. In TikTok Seller Center, go to Orders > Fulfillment Settings.
  2. Add a Pickup Warehouse and Return Warehouse.
    • Use this address provided by Printify:
      • 4005 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76119
  3. Go to Orders > Shipping Settings.
  4. Change the shipping method from TikTok Shipping to Seller Shipping for your warehouse.
  5. TikTok will prompt you to create a Shipping Template. Do this right away.

If you skip this part or leave the default settings, your products won’t sync properly and orders won’t be processed.

Publish TikTok-Eligible Products Through Printify

Not all Printify products are eligible for TikTok Shop. TikTok requires fast shipping and strict delivery times, so Printify limits publishing to a specific set of products.

Here’s how to find and publish them:

  1. In Printify, go to the Catalog and filter by TikTok-eligible.
  2. Choose a product like a t-shirt, hoodie, or mug that’s marked for TikTok.
  3. Design your product and complete the listing details:
    • Product title
    • Description
    • Retail price (remember to account for TikTok’s commission and Printify’s base cost)
  4. Under the Shipping section, set:
    • Warehouse: the one you created in TikTok Seller Center
    • Delivery Service: Standard Shipping
  5. Click Publish to TikTok Shop.

Activate Products in TikTok Seller Center

Once your products are published from Printify, they’ll show up in your TikTok Seller Center, but they won’t go live until you activate them.

To activate your products:

  1. Go to Products > Manage Products in TikTok Seller Center.
  2. Find the products you just imported.
  3. Click Activate to make them live in your shop.

This final step is easy to miss, but your store won’t display anything until you activate your listings manually.

4. If You’re Not in the US: Use the Shopify Workaround

If you’re outside the United States, you won’t be able to connect Printify directly to TikTok Shop. That’s exactly what happened to me with a client store based in the UK.

Luckily, there’s a workaround that still lets you sell on TikTok Shop using Printify — you just need to add Shopify in between.

Step-by-Step Shopify Workaround:

  1. Connect Printify to Shopify:
    • Open a Shopify store
    • Go to the Printify app and connect your Shopify account
  2. Install the TikTok App in Shopify:
    • Find the TikTok app in the Shopify App Store
    • Install the app and sign in with your TikTok account
  3. Apply for TikTok Shop via the Shopify App:
    • Shopify will walk you through the TikTok Shop application
    • Choose your region (e.g. UK, Canada, etc.)
    • Complete verification and tax information
  4. Sync Printify Products from Shopify to TikTok Shop:
    • Publish your products to Shopify from Printify
    • Then push them from Shopify to TikTok using the TikTok app

Once approved, your TikTok Shop will use Shopify as the backend for product management and order routing.

Here’s what the flow looks like:

StepPlatform
Product CreationPrintify
Storefront + SyncShopify
TikTok Shop ConnectionTikTok app in Shopify
Orders + FulfillmentHandled via Shopify and Printify

This method works well and is used by many sellers outside the US. It adds an extra step but still lets you access TikTok’s massive audience.

5. Troubleshooting: Two Common Issues That Break Everything

If you’re wondering why your products aren’t publishing or orders aren’t importing, chances are it’s one of these two problems.

I’ve hit both of these myself, and they can be frustrating if you don’t know what to look for.

1. Seller Shipping Not Enabled in TikTok

TikTok Shop defaults to its own shipping system, which isn’t compatible with Printify. If you don’t switch it to Seller Shipping, your orders won’t sync, and you won’t be able to publish products.

Double-check your shipping settings in TikTok Seller Center:

  • Go to Orders > Shipping Settings
  • Make sure the warehouse you created is set to Seller Shipping
  • Confirm that the shipping template is saved and active

2. Publishing Non-Eligible Products

Printify only allows certain products to be sold on TikTok Shop due to fulfillment requirements.

If you try to publish an item that’s not TikTok-approved, it will either be rejected or fail to sync.

Stick to the TikTok-eligible filter in the Printify catalog. These products are pre-vetted for fast shipping, and you’ll avoid compliance issues.

Final Thoughts

Setting up TikTok Shop with Printify takes some work, especially if you’re outside the US, but once it’s live, it’s a high-potential sales channel for print-on-demand products.

The key is making sure your shipping is configured properly and that you’re only publishing products that meet TikTok’s delivery expectations.

If you’re eligible for the US integration, go with the direct route. It’s cleaner and faster.

If you’re outside the US, the Shopify workaround is reliable and widely used by international sellers.

This setup has helped me and several clients unlock new revenue from TikTok’s fast-growing ecommerce platform.

If you’re in POD or dropshipping, I definitely recommend getting your shop up and running while the opportunity is still early.

Let me know if you hit any roadblocks during setup; I’ve likely hit the same issues and can help shortcut the process.
